Scope of work
Before we start any project we send you a written quotation describing what is included, what is not, and the price. We work to that document. If you ask for something outside it once work has begun, we will send you a fresh quotation for the extra work before doing it.
Payment
For project work we ask for 50 percent of the fee in advance, before we start, and the remaining 50 percent on delivery. Hosting and support plans are billed as set out in your quotation. If a project is cancelled partway through, we invoice for the work already completed, as agreed in your quotation.
What we need from you
Most projects need content, images, logins, or approvals from you along the way. The timeline in your quotation assumes these arrive when we ask for them. If something is late on your side, the timeline moves back to match.
Ownership
Until you have paid in full, the code, designs, and content we create for you remain ours. On final payment, everything is handed over: the code, designs, and content, along with the domain, the hosting account, and every login and credential involved. Nothing is held back once the project is paid for. Any fonts, plugins, or stock imagery used in the project stay governed by their own licences, which we will point out where they apply.
Hosting and support
New websites include a period of free post-launch support and bug fixes; how long depends on the plan set out in your quotation. If we host your website, hosting and any support plan renew at the price and terms in your quotation. If you choose not to renew, hosting ends at the end of the period you have paid for, and you are responsible for moving your website elsewhere before then.
Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care with every project, but no website or piece of software is entirely free of defects. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data that was not backed up. A specific limit on our liability for a project may be agreed in writing in your quotation; where the quotation is silent on this, our liability for that project is limited to the fees you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
