Will moving to your hosting take my site offline?
We schedule the move for a quiet window, copy the site across, and test every page and form before we switch the domain over. Visitors should not see a gap. If we find anything that needs fixing first, we tell you before the move, not after.
Do you actually test the backups, or just take them?
We take daily off-site backups and restore them to check they work, rather than assuming a backup file is good. That is different from most hosts, where a backup exists but nobody has ever tried restoring from it.
What happens if my site goes down?
Uptime monitoring alerts us as soon as a managed site stops responding, and we start working the problem from there. We have not published a fixed response-time commitment, so ask us directly if a specific turnaround matters to your business.
Can your hosting handle a sudden spike in visitors?
It depends on the plan and what is driving the spike. If you know a launch, sale, or press mention is coming, tell us in advance and we will look at whether your current tier is enough or whether you should move up before the day arrives.
Can I move away later if I want to?
Yes. The site and its data are yours. If you decide to move to another host, we will hand over the files and database rather than making that difficult.
